1) Why you would be a great tutor?
If I were to use a word to describe my work ethic, that word would be 'Discipline'. I feel that this is an important concept for everyone to embrace, no matter how difficult, and master, no matter how time-consuming. I am not afraid to say that my successes are born from rigour and discipline, and this is something I am willing to pass on to my students; I wish for them to be as successful, if not more successful, than myself, and to this end I am willing to stay longer, work harder and teach certain 'tricks of the trade' to create this dynamic synergy between me and the students, no matter the background, no matter the age. I am also not afraid to bring to them relevant real-world problems that I encounter to help cement the importance of their life decisions.

2) Details of relevant work experience
Volunteering, I feel, is very important. In the Summer of 2011, my mother pointed out that, instead of wasting my time, I could put it to good use and volunteer. I walked down to the local British Heart Foundation shop, and haven't left since. Volunteering in a busy shop, meeting new people, helping clients and just in general resting my mind from studies I feel is very rewarding. I am not limited to a role; sometimes I am in the floor, sometimes I am in the back, organising donations, sometimes I am out on shop errands.

3) Details on your educational background
My education started in Lisbon, Portugal, where I lived for 14 years, after which I moved to London to complete my GCSEs and A-Levels, during that time receiving a Young Achiever's Award for Education. In 2013, I completed an Undergraduate degree in Medical Engineering from Queen Mary, one of London's foremost research institutions in Bioengineering. I am currently enrolled in the aforementioned University, completing a Masters course in Biomedical Engineering, a rapidly evolving course both in the UK and the World, doing modelling research in nanocapsules.

4) Hobbies and interest and personal ambitions
I have two sides to me: one side of me like a long, quiet and thought-provoking game of chess, or a strategy-heavy game of Japanese chess. I have, over the years, acquired a small collection of books of both sports, and have even won a Bronze medal in the 2012 Mind Sport Olympics (for Japanese chess). The other side of me likes training. I have, over the years, practiced Judo, Kickboxing and, more recently at University, Ju-Jitsu and I find that practicing these arts help in acquiring skills like patience and discipline. I also, when possible, enjoy Zumba, for the dance moves, and Yoga, for mental acuity.
