More information:
1) Why you would be a great tutor?
I would be a fantastic tutor because my boundless enthusiasm is infectious. I love teaching, and the opportunity to share knowledge and explore new areas with students is both fulfilling and exciting. Mathematics is a long-term passion while English, in terms of grammar and analysis, is something at which I excel.
2) Details of relevant work experience
I have been a tutor for three years now, having taught in France, England and now Scotland. I've taught at GCSE (standard) level as well as A-level and Higher. I've also tutored adults in English as a foreign language and received good feedback from all of my students.
3) Details on your educational background
I am a junior honours student of French studies, and came to Scotland after gaining A-levels in French, Mathematics and Economics.
4) Hobbies and interest and personal ambitions
My hobbies are limited to chess, writing, and reading, but I have a strong interest in almost everything. I hope to join the Teach First program after graduating in 2015, a graduate program which places recent graduates into schools to gain their PGCE (England) or PGDE (Scotland). The scheme takes place over two years and is sponsored by (amongst others) HM Government, PwC, Goldman Sachs and Google.
