More information:

1) Why you would be a great tutor?
I'm passionate about language and literature, plus I have the academic record to prove it! After five years of study (including a year in Canada and a Masters degree at King's College London), as well as extensive tutoring experience in London, I have developed the enthusiasm and expertise to help you or your child excel in their study of English Language and Literature at school. From Shakespeare to syntax, I can cover whatever is required. I hope to inspire your child with a love of the subject, whilst also dramatically improving essay and exam techniques. English can be a tough subject, but with help from a high-achieving graduate, many of its secrets can be unlocked.

2) Details of relevant work experience
I am currently providing English Language and Literature tuition in both one-on-one and group formats. I am tutoring KS3 and GCSE students, as well as those preparing for 11+ entrance exams. As a result, I am familiar with current curricula and have an archive of lesson plans/homework/past papers. In particular, I have learnt how to focus on improving student's weaknesses, as well how to encourage a good work-ethic.

3) Details on your educational background
- MA English – Distinction. King's College London.
- BA English Language and Literature (International) – First Class with Honours. University of Leeds.
- A Levels in English (A), History (B), Chemistry (A), and General Studies (B). AS level in Biology (A).
- GCSEs in English Language (A*), English Literature (A*), History (A*), Biology (A*), Chemistry (A*), Physics (A*), Maths (A*).Geography (A), and French (A).

4) Hobbies and interest and personal ambitions
Unsurprisingly, my main hobby is reading, especially twentieth and twenty-first century literature (Vladimir Nabokov, Zadie Smith, Virginia Woolf etc.). I am also passionate about visual arts, cinema, theatre, and politics. Hence, I am an avid reader of newspapers, journals and other non-fiction materials. I am also a culture vulture who travels around London and the rest of the UK in search of museums and galleries. My other interests include: watching football and cricket, playing the guitar, eating spicy food, and going to old pubs to drink ale.
